Women in Business in Belgium

Belgium is a somewhat conservative country (as is the Netherlands) and women do not play a very significant role in the senior levels of Belgian business. Although a high percentage of women are employed in the workforce it is highly unusual for them to progress rapidly up the corporate ladder.

As with the rest of Europe this situation is in a state of flux and things are changing — but slowly.
